At present there is an increased awareness in persons traveling to Jamaica from Canada and it’s about time. For some time, there has been an ongoing talk about this beautiful island with its lush mountains, warm inviting climate, incredible white sand beaches and scenic beauty. I am proud to see that these travelers have started to realize the spectacular offerings of this island.

With all the beauty that one can see and experience in Jamaica, there is still the question as to why so many persons are just now opting for Jamaica as their holiday destination. A number of years ago, all you could hear about this destination are the bad publicity and rumors that were spreading about how unsafe this location was for vacations. It was of such that the mere reference of Jamaica would be the start of some awful stories that was immensely exaggerated. For the most part, it was extremely difficult to convince travelers that these were not always true and were just rumors.

When you visit this island the first thing that you will notice is the friendly nature of the people as they welcome you with a warm hospitality. This is simple what makes Jamaica the type of destination that is loved by many. But, there are travelers who would still ask what makes this island the fast growing and popular destination that it is today.

Is it for the tropical climate that is warm all year round, the reference to it being a tropical paradise, because it is the largest English speaking Caribbean island or because of the lush landscape that is surrounded by amazingly clear waters and offering a wide assortment of day and night activities and adventures?

Whatever the case maybe, these people are now realizing that traveling to Jamaica will give them the opportunity to do a lot of things. Something has definitely changed their minds about the general perception of this island and we don’t figure it out as yet. Some people in the travel industry could say that is the availability of flights that is now offered especially through the winter season or that there are more vacation packages and cheap fares offerings from the different airlines.
But, in my opinion it would have to be the positive promotions and campaigns that the Jamaica Tourism officials are doing in the Canada market.

Now, more and more travelers are flocking the shores and enjoying the exciting water activities such as fishing, windsurfing and scuba diving, in addition to relaxing on some of the best beaches in the world as they try to soak up the Caribbean sun.
They are also taking pleasure in the entertainment that is provided nightly with the enchanting music that you can hear echoing on the warm nights. Not to mention the mouth watering Jamaican dishes that one can indulge in at the many resorts and restaurants all across the island.

It is such a delight to see the Canadians traveling to Jamaica to enjoy and experience the beautiful sites that is available in all the resort towns. You can see them gazing at the captivating sunset on the Negril West End, partying on the hip strip of Montego Bay or shopping in the beautiful Ocho Rios town. The enjoyment possibilities are never-ending and everything is waiting for the travelers delight.
